Sightseeing Maastricht

What are we going to do today?

10.30 – 11.00 Coffee and cake

We will first sit snugly together and enjoy a nice cup of coffee with cake of course!

11.00 – 13.00 Guided Tour

Maastricht is undisputedly the oldest city of the Netherlands and you will during the tour hear: “this is the oldest or the first”. Maastricht owes its existence to the Meuse river. In order to cross the Meuse the Romans built a bridge and a settlement developed on its banks that has grown into the city of Maastricht as we know it today. Who views the city from the bridge gets to know a very different Maastricht. Don’t forget also that Maastricht was the largest city of the Netherlands right up to the golden century.

13.00 – 14.00 Lunch

After that we will go for a nice lunch in a cosy restaurant in the heart of Maastricht.

14.00 – 17.00 Workshop baking pies

The nicest pie is still the one from Limburg! Learn how to make pies in a real bakery situated close to a century-old watermill in the heart of Maastricht. Before it will be your turn, you will be welcomed with fresh coffee and a real pie from Limburg and will be shown around the historic water mill. And then, it will be your turn! Is there a baker in you?

The arrangement is finished! Or maybe not. Discuss with your friends the latest gossip, stories and rumours while enjoying a drink and / or a snack in the restaurant or café that Holland Tour Guides has booked. Enquire about the various possibilities.

Do you have less participants then the required minimum number? If you want to pay for the mininum number, you can also book for smaller groups!

Can I book my city walk or event in a different language?
Holland Tour Guides provides you with a tour guide who speaks your language, or at least is fluent in English, Chinese or Spanish.
Is there a minimum number of participants for each event?
Yes there is, but you can book any event you wish if you are willing to pay for the minimum number (the minimum number of participants is always stated on our website).
Where does my event start, at which location?

Almost every group outing / event starts at a central location in the city of your choice. We of course will inform you about the exact location in due time. If you are still not sure, don’t hesitate to contact our servicedesk.
I am planning an event on a specific date, is any date available?
Through our systems, we can immediately check if your requested event is available on the planned date. If so, we’ll advise you to make a reservation as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointments.
At what time can we start the event?
You can specify this entirely according to you wishes! This will however partly depend on the chosen event, but in principle the event will commence whenever you want it to!
Can we also join guided tours or workshops followed by other groups?

No, unfortunately you cannot. Holland Tour Guides plans events exclusively for specific groups of people, completely tailored to their specific demands. For that reason, people can’t just ‘change events’.
What if the weather is bad, do we have to cancel

Definitely not! If it rains, we can provide everyone with a rain poncho or umbrella, if necessary we stay in a pub a bit longer for the weather to clear.
How will we travel from one location to the other?
Our tour guides will take you from one location to the other. You will always receive an itinerary so you will know exactly where you have to go.
Is my company trip or business event tax-deductible?
That of course depends on which country your business is registered in. In The Netherlands, all costs of a company trip are tax-deductible. However, only if these costs are “reasonable” according to the tax authorities. The Dutch treasury also states that 75% of all employees must be able to join the event. These 75% may however also consist of a certain part or division of the company.
Can you send me a brochure or price table?

Holland Tour Guides does not use brochures or price tables. We love to involve you in designing the ideal arrangement. Custom-made events, remember? That’s why we can’t quote fixed rates. After all, everything depends on your wishes and demands!
When do I have to pay my event?
Our invoices have to be paid in full within 14 days according to the ‘invoice date’ stated.
