11.00 – 10.30 Coffee and cake

Sightseeing Groningen

We will have a pleasant time together and enjoy a nice cup of coffee with cake of course!

10.30 – 13.00 Guided Tour

Whoever wants to know more about the history of the city of Groningen or wants to view the prettiest parts of the city will be at the right address! A visit to the city becomes something very exciting when a guide shows you these places. Groningen was nominated the nicest downtown city of the Netherlands in 2005. Certainly a good reason to visit and to discover for oneself whether it deserves this title.

13.00 – 14.00 Lunch

After the tour, the guide will take you to an excellent restaurant where an extensive lunch awaits you and where you can quietly share all your impressions once more with your peers.

14.15 – 15.15 Martini Tower

From here you can, from the southern side, overlook the city. You can also carry on further to the top to right behind the clocks. From here, one can view the entire city.

15.15 – 17.00 Cocktail workshop

You will be instructed into the basic cocktail shaking techniques during the cocktail workshop. The different shaking techniques and the philosophy behind the making of the perfect cocktail will be explained to you. After this workshop, you will not only be able to shake cocktails correctly but also explain what you are making and why your cocktail will taste so nicely.

As soon as the cocktails have been enjoyed, it will sadly be time to say good-bye to your Holland Tour guide and the beautiful city of Groningen. Alternatively, maybe not! Of course, you can end this lovely day with a drink or a dinner. Enquire about the various possibilities!

Please note that above timings are only a guideline.

Our professional tour guides speak several languages. Please contact us for more information.

Reservations for small groups:

Do you have less participants then the required minimum number? If you want to pay for the mininum number, you can also book for smaller groups!

Can I book my city walk or event in a different language?
Holland Tour Guides provides you with a tour guide who speaks your language, or at least is fluent in English, Chinese or Spanish.
Is there a minimum number of participants for each event?
Yes there is, but you can book any event you wish if you are willing to pay for the minimum number (the minimum number of participants is always stated on our website).
Where does my event start, at which location?

Almost every group outing / event starts at a central location in the city of your choice. We of course will inform you about the exact location in due time. If you are still not sure, don’t hesitate to contact our servicedesk.
I am planning an event on a specific date, is any date available?
Through our systems, we can immediately check if your requested event is available on the planned date. If so, we’ll advise you to make a reservation as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointments.
At what time can we start the event?
You can specify this entirely according to you wishes! This will however partly depend on the chosen event, but in principle the event will commence whenever you want it to!
Can we also join guided tours or workshops followed by other groups?

No, unfortunately you cannot. Holland Tour Guides plans events exclusively for specific groups of people, completely tailored to their specific demands. For that reason, people can’t just ‘change events’.
What if the weather is bad, do we have to cancel

Definitely not! If it rains, we can provide everyone with a rain poncho or umbrella, if necessary we stay in a pub a bit longer for the weather to clear.
How will we travel from one location to the other?
Our tour guides will take you from one location to the other. You will always receive an itinerary so you will know exactly where you have to go.
Is my company trip or business event tax-deductible?
That of course depends on which country your business is registered in. In The Netherlands, all costs of a company trip are tax-deductible. However, only if these costs are “reasonable” according to the tax authorities. The Dutch treasury also states that 75% of all employees must be able to join the event. These 75% may however also consist of a certain part or division of the company.
Can you send me a brochure or price table?

Holland Tour Guides does not use brochures or price tables. We love to involve you in designing the ideal arrangement. Custom-made events, remember? That’s why we can’t quote fixed rates. After all, everything depends on your wishes and demands!
When do I have to pay my event?
Our invoices have to be paid in full within 14 days according to the ‘invoice date’ stated.
