Sightseeing Den Bosch

This capital city of Brabant offers quite a lot and we are going to, view it, listen to it and experience it!

10.30 – 11.00 Coffee and Bossche Bol

Holland Tour Guides welcomes you in ’s-Hertogenbosch with a nice cup of coffee and it goes without saying a Bossche Bol..!

11.00 – 13.00 Den Bosch City Tour

Come along with HTG! This walk through one of the oldest cities of the middles ages in the Netherlands gives one a fine impression of this fortress city .‘s-Hertogenbosch is built around the basilica Sint-Jan Evangelist cathedral, or called the St. Jans cathedral. This is the seat of the bishop of ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

What is unique to Den Bosch is the fact that it is rooted in the town centre going back to the middle ages, and is still the largest piece of land, ringed by – town dams and walls still in a fairly good original state. This is unique in the Netherlands!

13.00 – 14.00 Lunch

In order to quietly absorb this first extraordinary impression of Den Bosch (and also because in the meantime it is lunchtime!) we will have a pleasant lunch in a restaurant selected by Holland Tour Guides in the centre of ’s-Hertogenbosch.

14.00 – 15.00 Climbing St. Jan

After lunch, we will go and have a very close look at Sint Jan; we are going to climb the tower! En route, we will look at the beautiful carillon and we will view a display of the building, the history and the restoration of the tower. Once at the top, you will see the many stone figures, which together render a beautiful (and detailed!) picture of the inhabitants of the town at the time that the cathedral was built. Besides this, you will have a beautiful overview of Den Bosch’s inner city and its wide surrounding!

15.15 – 16.30 Binnendieze

Finally, we step all together on a “whispering boat” and discover the unique almost completely restored Binnendieze, the old city river that in parts runs beneath the city. Your HTG guide will tell you about its inhabitants and of course the origin and the use of the Binnendieze. (Possibly from April till Oktober)

Of course after this we may have drinks and something to eat at one of Holland Tour Guides selected restaurant. Enquire regarding choices.

Reservations for small groups:

Do you have less participants then the required minimum number? If you want to pay for the mininum number, you can also book for smaller groups!

Can I book my city walk or event in a different language?
Holland Tour Guides provides you with a tour guide who speaks your language, or at least is fluent in English, Chinese or Spanish.
Is there a minimum number of participants for each event?
Yes there is, but you can book any event you wish if you are willing to pay for the minimum number (the minimum number of participants is always stated on our website).
Where does my event start, at which location?

Almost every group outing / event starts at a central location in the city of your choice. We of course will inform you about the exact location in due time. If you are still not sure, don’t hesitate to contact our servicedesk.
I am planning an event on a specific date, is any date available?
Through our systems, we can immediately check if your requested event is available on the planned date. If so, we’ll advise you to make a reservation as soon as possible in order to avoid disappointments.
At what time can we start the event?
You can specify this entirely according to you wishes! This will however partly depend on the chosen event, but in principle the event will commence whenever you want it to!
Can we also join guided tours or workshops followed by other groups?

No, unfortunately you cannot. Holland Tour Guides plans events exclusively for specific groups of people, completely tailored to their specific demands. For that reason, people can’t just ‘change events’.
What if the weather is bad, do we have to cancel

Definitely not! If it rains, we can provide everyone with a rain poncho or umbrella, if necessary we stay in a pub a bit longer for the weather to clear.
How will we travel from one location to the other?
Our tour guides will take you from one location to the other. You will always receive an itinerary so you will know exactly where you have to go.
Is my company trip or business event tax-deductible?
That of course depends on which country your business is registered in. In The Netherlands, all costs of a company trip are tax-deductible. However, only if these costs are “reasonable” according to the tax authorities. The Dutch treasury also states that 75% of all employees must be able to join the event. These 75% may however also consist of a certain part or division of the company.
Can you send me a brochure or price table?

Holland Tour Guides does not use brochures or price tables. We love to involve you in designing the ideal arrangement. Custom-made events, remember? That’s why we can’t quote fixed rates. After all, everything depends on your wishes and demands!
When do I have to pay my event?
Our invoices have to be paid in full within 14 days according to the ‘invoice date’ stated.
